Terms of service
Last updated September 29, 2026
These terms cover your use of Otto. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.
What the service does
Otto builds mobile apps from your descriptions using AI, runs a live preview of them, and helps you publish them to app stores. AI output can be wrong or incomplete: test your app before you publish it and before anyone relies on it.
Your account
You must be at least 16 and give a working email address. Keep access to your account secure; you are responsible for what happens under it.
Plans, billing and refunds
Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renew until you cancel. Each plan adds building to your balance; changes to your apps are paid from it at the rates shown in your billing history. Changes that fail are not charged. Unused building rolls over while you have a plan; top-ups do not expire.
You can cancel any time from your billing page; your plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for. Payments are not refundable except where the law requires it or we decide otherwise. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the building it bought is removed from your balance.
Your apps and content
You own the apps you build and the content you put into them, and you can download your app’s code at any time. You give us permission to host and process them only to run the service for you. You are responsible for your apps, their content, and meeting the app stores’ rules and the laws that apply to them.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Otto to build anything illegal, harmful, deceptive, or that infringes someone else’s rights; to attack or overload our systems or anyone else’s; or to get around usage limits or payment. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running but don’t promise it will be uninterrupted. We may change features or these terms; for material changes we’ll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it arose.
